What Is a Sale Deed?
A sale deed is the final legal document that transfers ownership of an immovable property — land, house, apartment, or commercial property — from the seller to the buyer. Once it is executed, properly stamped, and registered with the Sub-Registrar, the buyer becomes the legal owner of the property.
An agreement to sell is a promise that the property will be sold in future on agreed terms. A sale deed is the document that actually transfers ownership.
