What Is a Trust Deed?

A Trust Deed is the legal document that creates a trust — naming the settlor, trustees, beneficiaries, trust property, and objects — under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 (for private trusts) or the applicable state Public Trusts Act (for charitable/religious trusts). Registration with the Sub-Registrar is generally required where immovable property is involved.

  • Identity and address proof of the settlor and trustees
